About Dr. Kirkpatrick
A graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 1996, Dr. Kirkpatrick completed a residency in Emergency Medicine through Texas A&M at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas, where he also served a year as chief resident. Since 1999, he has been a staff emergency physician at Presbyterian Hospital where he was recognized by his peers as one of Albuquerque's "Top Docs" as listed in Albuquerque Magazine 2006. As a member of the New Mexico Air National Guard, Major Kirkpatrick was deployed to New Orleans immediately following Hurricane Katrina where he served as the chief medical officer for Task Force New Mexico and was recognized for his outstanding service.
Over the past few years Dr. Kirkpatrick has developed a strong interest in hair restoration surgery and has actively sought the best training possible. During this process he completed a one year hair restoration training fellowship in New York City under the guidance of one of the field's top physicians. He has received training and experience in treating a variety of hair loss problems in both men and women; including male and female pattern baldness/thinning, covering of scars on the scalp as well as cleft lip and other facial scars in men, eyebrow and eyelash repair, repair of unsightly hair plugs and other conditions.
As an active member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Kirkpatrick is able to stay abreast the latest techniques and issues regarding all aspects of hair restoration surgery. In fact, he has participated in multiple advanced training courses and live surgery workshops, where the elite hair restoration surgeons from around the world share their knowledge and techniques.
In short, Dr. Kirkpatrick has a passion for hair restoration and has brought state-of-the-art techniques to New Mexico. He is dedicated to helping both men and women permanently restore their natural hair and their confidence.
